A very helpful husband
Blue Diamonds. Cottons machine pieced on foundation paper. 80 blocks joined by hand and quilted by hand. Wool wadding. Very time consuming when it came to removing the foundation papers.
Tartan meets Amish. 8.25 by 7.5 ins Friendship Star block.Shot cotton fabrics and thermore wadding.Tartan ribbon binding. Has toured in the Quilter’s Guild Miniature Group Handbag collection.
Planets. 11by 7.75ins. Calico stamped with silver paint. An evening demo. by Sheena Norquay at Highland Quilters started this quilt. Embellished with beads, metallic threads and mirrors.Layered and machine quilted.
Autumn Fruits. 7.25 ins.sq. 9 blocks hand appliqued and sashed. Cottons and wool wadding. Hand quilted.
Tea in the Garden. 8ins. sq. Cottons and crystal gauze layered and cut back to a design. Hand applique and embroidery created the garden. Machine quilted.
SEQUIN FISH Cotton foundation and backing and Warm and Natural wadding. Entrapment technique withThreads, wool, velvet,and net on top, machine quilted and netcut back in some areas.Sequinned fish sewn separately and appliqued to the surface.
Apricot Parfait. 11ins.sq. 1513 pieces in 49 Pineapple blocks. Handpieced blocks,joined by machine. Hand quilted cottons.
